Grandweld Shipyards wins Saudi order for four fast crewboats

UAE builder Grandweld Shipyards has secured a contract to supply four fast crewboats in a series to Saudi Arabia-based offshore oil and gas service provider High Seas Marine Industrial Services (HSM).

The aluminium vessels are expected to be completed in 14 months, with deliveries being made at two-week intervals.

Each crewboat will have an LOA of 40.7 metres, a moulded beam of 8.3 metres, a maximum draught of 1.8 metres, and space for nine crew and 50 passengers. Power will be provided by four 1,080kW engines.

The crewboats will be built as per the standards of Saudi Aramco, and will similarly meet all necessary offshore oil field regulations.
