France’s Atlantique Maritime Services expands crewboat fleet

French operator Atlantique Maritime Services (AMS) has acquired a fast crewboat for use in offshore wind support activities.

Named JLD Jayce, the pre-owned vessel was acquired from Damen Shipyards Group, which had originally built it for an undisclosed operator. It is the third Damen vessel to join the AMS fleet after two multi-purpose workboats.

The 26-metre vessel was sold to AMS through Damen Trading and Chartering, which also handled the refit prior to hand-over.

JLD Jayce will be deployed to support operations at the Saint-Nazaire and Guerande offshore wind farms in France.
