Maersk Supply Service sells AHTS pair

Maersk Supply Service has sold two of its older anchor handling tug supply vessels (AHTS) to an unnamed international buyer.

Maersk Advancer (pictured) and Maersk Asserter will be modified for use in a non-competing industry.

The company cited the Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting lack of commercial opportunities in the oil and gas industry as its reasons for divesting of the vessels.
