Inpex awards contract extensions for Solstad AHTS pair

Inpex Operations Australia has extended the contracts previously agreed in October 2019 for the provision of two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels by Norway’s Solstad Offshore to support drilling for the Ichthys LNG development.

The firm operational periods for Normand Scorpion (pictured) and Normand Sirius will now continue until August 2023 with additional options available to Inpex thereafter.

The two vessels have been supporting Inpex’s operations out of Broome, Australia, since early 2020.
