Spanish yard launches second of five CSOVs for Edda Wind

Spanish shipyard Gondan launched a new windfarm commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) at its facilities on Saturday, March 19.

The Salt Ship-designed vessel will be the second of a planned five CSOVs that Gondan is building for Norwegian operator Edda Wind. The CSOVs will support the construction of the first two phases of the Dogger Bank wind farm in the UK North Sea.

Once completed, the CSOV will measure 88.3 by 19.7 metres. Equipment will include a motion compensated crane and gangway and an integrated lift with capacity for 26 personnel.
