OHT’s future installation vessel hits the water
Alfa Lift, a future heavy installation crane vessel ordered by Norway’s Offshore Heavy Transport (OHT), has been launched into the water for the first time at the facilities of China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI).
The vessel will then undergo final assembly and trials before its scheduled delivery in 2021.
Once operational, Alfa Lift will be deployed for foundation installation work at the Dogger Bank wind farms 130 kilometres off northeast England under a contract with Equinor and Ireland’s SSE Renewables.
