Jan De Nul sells installation vessel Taillevent

Jan De Nul Group has entered into an agreement to sell the jackup wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) Taillevent (pictured) to an undisclosed buyer.

The company said the decision to sell is a result of the rapid change in future offshore wind component sizes, requiring larger and custom-designed installation vessels during construction.

Jan De Nul added that the sale of Taillevent will help make way for the introduction of the newer, larger-capacity WTIVs Voltaire and Les Alizes, which are still under construction.
