Island Offshore takes delivery of multi-purpose installation vessel

Island Offshore has taken delivery of a newbuild installation vessel from VARD Langsten.

The Kongsberg Maritime-designed vessel has been named Island Victory. It has a length of 123 metres, a beam of 25 metres, 1,200 square metres of deck space, and a 250-tonne crane.

The newbuild is designed to carry out installation of subsea equipment, maintenance of oil wells, anchor handling, and installation of wind turbine generators. With room for up to 110 people, it could also function as an accommodation vessel.
