Colombo Dockyard delivers cable lay vessel to Kokusai

Sri Lanka’s Colombo Dockyard has delivered a cable laying vessel to Kokusai Cable Ship of Japan.

The Vard-designed vessel, which has been named KDDI Cable Infinity, has a length of 113.1 metres, a beam of 21.5 metres, a depth of 8.8 metres, a maximum draught of 7.1 metres, a speed of 14.5 knots, and accommodations for 80 persons.

The vessel is designed to carry out installation and repair of both optical and power cables.
