Japan's MODEC has released images of a newly developed hull design for future floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels.

The company claims the design, which was developed jointly with Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding, will help ensure a vessel service life of 20 years from the start of operations.

MODEC has received approvals in principle (AiP) from ABS, BV, and DNV-GL for the design.
