Japan Drilling jackup secures contract offshore Indonesia

Japan Drilling Company (JDC), through subsidiary Japan Drilling Indonesia, and an unnamed Indonesian shipping company have entered into a drilling contract with state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina Hulu Mahakam for the provision of a jackup drilling rig.

The jackup rig Hakuryu-14 will be deployed to the Mahakam Block currently being developed by Total E&P Indonesie and Inpex.

The contract has firm period of 1.5 years and also includes two one-year options.
