NigerStar 7 nets Nigerian pipeline project

Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPN) has awarded a contract to NigerStar 7 for the production uplift pipeline projects (PUPP) in shallow water, offshore Nigeria.

The contract, which is valued between US$150 million and US$300 million to a Subsea 7 joint venture, includes engineering, construction, transportation, installation and pre-commissioning of 20 kilometres of corrosion-resistant alloy pipeline between the Idoho Platform and the terminal onshore.

It also includes two kilometres of pipeline between the Edop and Idoho Platforms, and associated topside modifications and tie-ins at both ends. 

Engineering and procurement will start immediately at NigerStar 7’s offices in Lagos, while offshore operations will take place from third quarter of 2018 until the first quarter of 2019, using the Subsea 7 vessel, Seven Antares.
