Maran orders additional FSRU from Daewoo

Greece’s Maran Gas Maritime has declared options for a second LNG carrier and floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) at the South Korean yard, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering.

Maran Gas will take delivery of the two 173,400m³ units in the second half of 2020.

Maran Gas ordered its first FSRU at the South Korean yard in February 2017.

Maran Gas’ declared option for the LNG ship will bring the number of such vessels the company has under construction to nine, all built at Daewoo.
