Hyundai Heavy Industries will suspend work at its offshore facilities shipyard in August due to a lack of orders.
Hyundai Heavy operates two shipyards near Seoul, one builds commercial vessels and the other focuses on offshore facilities.
Following the completion of its current project in July the shipyard will have no other projects at hand.
As of the end of March, Hyundai Heavy had 15,795 employees though it is not clear how many of them worked at the offshore shipyard.
