Newly awarded charters are for installation/decommissioning, accommodation, and maintenance for clients in the Americas and the UK.

Briggs Marine tapped to provide crewboat support for Neart na Gaoithe wind farm

UK operator Briggs Marine and Environmental Services has secured a contract to provide crew transfer services to the Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) offshore wind farm, currently under construction 15 kilometres off the coast of Fife.

The chosen vessel for the contract is Forth Engineer, which also boasts cargo-carrying capability.

Solstad secures two CSV contracts

Solstad Offshore has been awarded a contract to provide the construction support vessel (CSV) Normand Cutter (pictured) for charter by an undisclosed client in South America. The charter has a firm period of 460 days with the possibility of a further extension of 480 days.

Commencement of the charter will be in the fourth quarter of 2022. The vessel will provide ROV services for the client’s decommissioning activities.

Mexico-based Subtec has meanwhile exercised its option to extend the contract for the CSV Normand Sentinel by one year. The contract is now firm until December 31, 2023, and has a one-year option remaining.

Normand Sentinel will continue its operation in the Gulf of Mexico, where it has been on contract with Subtec since 2015.

Floatel International awarded charter extension in Brazil

Equinor Brasil Energia has extended the contract for Floatel International’s accommodation vessel Floatel Victory to provide maintenance and safety Unit (MSU) services alongside the Peregrino Floating Production Storage and offloading unit (FPSO) offshore Brazil.

The contract is now firm until year-end 2022, with further options thereafter. Following this contract’s completion, which is scheduled to commence no later than Q2 2023, Floatel Victory will be deployed to the Anchor field development in the Gulf of Mexico on behalf of Chevron.

Siem Offshore spill response vessel to work for undisclosed client

Siem Offshore, through subsidiary Siem Offshore do Brasil, has entered into a new contract for the oil spill response vessel Siem Maragogi.

The contract has a duration of three years and will commence in Q4 2022 in direct continuation of its current contract.
