EMS Maritime Offshore to build Dutch service base

Wind farm operator Merkur Offshore has signed a contract with EMS Maritime Offshore to construct and operate a service base at Eemshaven in the Netherlands.

The deal includes construction of the 600-square-metre warehouse, two-level office block and a 33,000-square-metre logistics terminal.

Eemshaven has developed into a service base for the installation of offshore wind projects.

Merkur Offshore will perform part of its maintenance and service works at Eemshaven.
