Newly awarded and ongoing charters are mainly for maintenance, supply, and subsea installation vessels. The geographic scope stretches from Western Europe to the Americas and also includes West Africa.

James Fisher selects Go Marine IMR vessel for UK activities

James Fisher has awarded a charter contract to Australia’s Go Marine Group for the exclusive use of the multi-purpose service vessel Go Electra. The agreement will see the vessel used throughout the remainder of 2022 by its marine group companies James Fisher Renewables and James Fisher Subtech.

Go Electra will be mobilised in and around UK waters, largely on unexploded ordnance (UXO) identification with remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), IMR activities and air diving projects. The vessel will be configured with a fully integrated, hangar-deployed WROV and observation class ROV and the added flexibility of switching between a third ROV and air diving spread.

Go Electra will be mobilised in March 2022, with opportunity for use by other James Fisher group companies throughout the year.

New contracts, extension for Havila Shipping vessel trio

Havila Shipping has entered into a new contract with Nexans Norway for the subsea vessel Havila Phoenix. The contract is in direct continuation of an existing contract and is firm until end of October 2022, with 60 optional days thereafter.

The company has also entered into a contract with Peterson Den Helder for the platform supply vessel (PSV) Havila Herøy for a fixed period of 70 days plus options.

Contracts related to project work are also entered into for the anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel Havila Venus for a fixed period of total 64 days plus options. The work will be for an undisclosed customer.

Helix Energy inks charters for three intervention vessels

US-based the Helix Energy Solutions Group (HESG) and Siem Offshore have entered into an agreement for the well intervention vessels Siem Helix 1 and Siem Helix 2.

The agreements will replace the existing contracts and the new firm periods will be three years for Siem Helix 1 and five years for Siem Helix 2 with subsequent options for both vessels. Commencement will be in direct continuation of present contracts within the first quarter of 2022.

HESG, through its Helix Robotics Solutions division, has meanwhile awarded US-based Bordelon Marine a one-year firm contract for the DP2 intervention vessel Shelia Bordelon. The charter for the vessel has already commenced.

Golden Energy Offshore PSVs to work for various international clients

Golden Energy Offshore Services (GEOS) has secured charter contracts for three of its PSVs.

Energy Empress has been fixed and firm to various international operators to conduct environmental monitoring activities and sampling. These include but are not limited to geomorphological, chemical, physical, and biological analyses.

For the new contract, mobilisation and de-mobilisation of topside equipment will take place in Norway and operation has already commenced offshore Ghana.

GEOS has also secured a contract with an undisclosed international operator for the PSV Energy Duchess in direct continuation of its present contract. The vessel is presently completing work for clients in the Americas and will be redelivered to Esbjerg in time to commence its new contract.

Energy Duchess‘ new contract period is firm for 150 days plus options.

Lastly, Energy Swan has secured a contract to continue operating in support of Repsol Norge. The contract period is 12 months firm while an additional optional 12-month period remains available.

NYK crewboat starts new charter with Sweden’s Northern Offshore Services

NYK has begun to bareboat charter a crewboat to service offshore wind farms with Northern Offshore Services (NOS), a subsidiary of Sweden-based the Northern Offshore Group (NOG).

The crewboat, named Energizer, is owned by NYK and is being chartered to NOS through a long-term bareboat charter contract to transfer crews to offshore wind power stations, mainly in Europe, under the operation of NOS.

Solstad CSV bags extension with Havfram

Offshore specialist Havfram has exercised its option to extend the present contract for Solstad Offshore’s construction support vessel (CSV) Normand Vision. The firm contract will then expire December 31, 2023.
Normand Vision is optimised for SURF installation work and has been working in support of Havfram since 2014.

DOF vessels to continue supporting Equinor, Shell UK

Equinor Energy has exercised options to extend the firm periods of the contracts for the AHTS vessels Skandi Mongstad for three years and Skandi Vega for two years. Both vessels have worked continuously with Equinor since delivery from the yard in 2008 and 2010, respectively.

In addition, Shell UK has exercised an option to extend the charter of the large/modern PSV Skandi Kvitsøy for one year firm. Commencement of the extension will be at the end of March 2022.
