Maersk Drilling completes sale of 1986-built jack-up
Maersk Drilling has completed the sale of the jack-up rig Giant, formerly named Mærsk Giant, to Lotos Petrobaltic Group of Poland.
The new owners will use the rig for drilling solely in the Baltic Sea, for jobs involving Lotos Petrobaltic Group and other contracting parties.
The 1986-built rig was sold as part of Maersk Drilling’s ongoing fleet modernisation programme, said company CFO Jesper Ridder Olsen.
