Subsea 7 awarded Saudi Arabia and UK EPCI contracts

Subsea 7 has been awarded two contracts from Saudi Aramco for conventional projects in shallow water offshore Saudi Arabia.

The engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contracts have been awarded in consortium with L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering, a subsidiary of Larsen and Toubro, under a long-term agreement with Saudi Aramco.

The two workscopes, which will be executed together, consist of engineering, procurement, commissioning, and installation of three oil production deck manifolds and subsea pipelines in Zuluf field and subsea pipelines in Berri field. Offshore execution is due to commence in 2020.

The company has also been awarded a contract by Shell for the Arran gas field development, located approximately 241 kilometres east of Aberdeen.

The contract scope includes project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of 60 kilometres of mechanically lined pipe-in production flowline, together with subsea structures and tie-ins at the Arran and Columbus gas condensate fields and the Shearwater platform.

As with the Saudi Aramco contracts, offshore activities under the Shell contract are due to commence in 2020.
