Netherlands-based Seacontractors has acquired Diamond, a 2001-built anchor handling tug.

The Malta-flagged vessel has just left Rotterdam to perform barge towage duties in the Middle East.

After arriving in the Middle East, Diamond will be renamed Sea Diamond and will begin sailing under the Dutch flag.

The vessel will then proceed to Kuwait where it will start working alongside Sea Beluga and Sea Buffalo on the Al Zour project.
