Eni awards Saipem new drilling contracts offshore Mexico, Norway, and Pakistan

Italy’s Saipem has signed an offshore drilling contract with Eni Messico for the drilling of 15 wells plus 13 optional ones split in three different options offshore Mexico. Work is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2019 utilising the new high specification jack-up Pioneer chartered from Jindai Group.

Another contract has been awarded by Eni in the offshore Norwegian sector for which Scarabeo 8, a harsh environment highly specialised semi-submersible drilling unit, will be deployed. The work consists of the drilling of one well in 2019.

Finally, a contract has been awarded by Eni in Pakistan for the drillship Saipem 12000 (pictured).
