Zamakona Yards delivers offshore support ship to Esvagt

Zamakona Shipyard has delivered an offshore support vessel to Danish ship owners Esvagt.

The vessel will be used to transfer crew, assist in emergency situations and support maintenance programs taking place at wind farms and other offshore platforms.

Esvagt Dana is 88.4 metres long with a 15-metre beam. She utilises the last generation of diesel electric propulsion, reaching 18 knots and achieving a 13 per cent reduction of fuel consumption compared with conventional propulsions.

The ship has the capacity to accommodate up to 76 people housed in individual cabins and has a new system of telescopic davits for lowering work boats on both sides of the ship.
