SeaRobotics to supply ASVs to US Navy

SeaRobotics has been awarded a contract to supply multiple autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) to the US Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) to help the Department of the Navy develop its advanced autonomy research programme.

The 1.8-metre ASVs will be delivered to the NRL every two weeks from the fourth quarter of 2020 to early in the first quarter of 2021.

The ASVs will be capable of bathymetric surveys, habitat mapping, structure inspection, and search and rescue (SAR) support.
