Viking wins Norwegian Police Service patrol boat contract

Viking Life-Saving Equipment has won a contract to build and supply a new patrol boat for the Norwegian Police Service.

The 12-metre vessel, which will be built in Arendal and delivered in December this year, will carry out police patrol and rescue missions in the East Police District covering the 38 municipalities from Gardermoen to the Swedish border.

The boat will be fitted with two Iveco FPT N67 372kW engines driving twin waterjets. Chairs will be provided by Ullman Dynamics while the navigation and communications suite will be sourced from Raymarine and Jatronic.
