USCG receives 25th fast response cutter

Bollinger Shipyards delivered the USCGC Jacob Poroo, the 25th fast response cutter (FRC), to the US Coast Guard in Key West on Tuesday.

The vessel’s commissioning is scheduled for November 8 in New Orleans. It has a flank speed of 28 knots, state of the art command, control, communications and computer technology, and a stern launch system for the vessel’s eight-metre cutter boat.
