The crew of the US Coast Guard Cutter Stratton offloaded more than 11 tonnes of cocaine seized in international waters off the Eastern Pacific Ocean from late August to mid-September on Wednesday, October 3, in San Diego.
The drugs were seized during the interdiction of eight suspected smuggling vessels found off the coasts of Mexico, Central and South America by the Coast Guard cutters Stratton, Seneca, and Active.
The crews of Stratton, Seneca, and Active had seized an estimated 7,472 kilograms, 1,339 kilograms, and 1,200 kilograms of cocaine, respectively.
