The US Coast Guard commissioned its newest Sentinel-class fast response cutter (FRC) into service on Thursday, June 11.
The 46-metre Edgar Culbertson, which was delivered by Bollinger Shipyards in February, is the 37th Sentinel-class cutter to be built for the coast guard.
Edgar Culbertson is the second FRC to be homeported in Galveston, Texas, after sister vessel USCGC Daniel Tarr.
