The US Coast Guard commissioned its 35th Sentinel-class fast response cutter (FRC), USCGC Angela McShan, in a ceremony on Saturday, October 26.

The Bollinger Shipyards-built vessel honours Angela McShan, the coast guard’s first female African-American master chief petty officer.

Angela McShan will be homeported at the coast guard station in Cape May, New Jersey, along with Sentinel-class sisters USCGC Rollin A. Fritch and USCGC Lawrence O. Lawson.
