The Stanly County Sheriff’s Office of North Carolina recently welcomed a new boat to its Badin Lake and Lake Tillery patrol fleet.

The centre console vessel measures 21 feet (6.4 metres) long and is powered by one Yamaha F200 outboard engine. It was acquired for around US$70,000, with a significant portion of the funding coming from local private donors.

The new boat will complement the department’s existing boat, which is already nearly 20 years old.
