Socarenam to build patrol vessel trio for Polish Coast Guard

French shipbuilder Socarenam has been awarded a contract for the construction of three offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) in a series for the Polish Coast Guard.

The 70-metre, steel-aluminium vessels will have space for 35 crew as well as two rigid hull inflatable boats (RHIBs) and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

Secondary missions will include search and rescue (SAR), firefighting, and pollution response.
