Port Qasim Authority receives patrol RIBs

Pakistan’s Port Qasim Authority’s Port Security Operation has taken delivery of two 12-metre and two 9.5-metre rigid inflatable boats.

The 9.5-metre RIBs include a futura double console with forward seat, Ullman shock absorbent seats and additional fixed seating for four people at the aft of the vessels.

They are fitted with twin Yamaha four-stroke F200 BETX petrol outboard engines, for a top speed of 40 knots.

The 12-metre RIBs feature stand-up double consoles with forward seats, eight Ullman shock-mitigating seats each, an extra-reinforced gun mount base at the bow and gun post.

They are each powered by twin Yamaha four-stroke F300 outboards, reaching a speed of 45 knots.

The four will also function as patrol and surveillance boats, thanks to their advanced piloting and surveillance capabilities and will act as advanced monitoring platforms due to their high speed and rapid deployment capability.
