The Philippine Army has taken delivery of a new small watercraft for use in coastal and riverine special operations.

The boat is the first of a planned order for 52 vessels, all of which will be built locally.

The watercraft has seating for up to eight fully armed troops and is powered by two outboard engines that deliver a speed of 25 knots. It will be used for patrol and insertion/extraction operations in denied areas as well as humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR).
