Patrol boat trio to be delivered to Nigeria’s OMS

Jianglong Shipbuilding is currently conducting final outfitting on three patrol boats in a series prior to their delivery to Nigerian private maritime security firm Ocean Marine Solutions (OMS).

OMS will utilise the newbuilds to augment the Nigerian Navy in providing protection for offshore oil and gas platforms and commercial vessels in Nigerian waters.

The boats each have a length of 38.8 metres, a beam of 7.2 metres, and three Mitsubishi 1,885kW engines that deliver speeds in excess of 34 knots.

The vessels’ delivery voyage to Nigeria is expected to commence within the month.
