New patrol vessel for Changde City completes sea trials

A new patrol vessel ordered by the Changde Waterway Transport Affairs Centre of the city of Changde in China’s Hunan province has completed sea trials and is now undergoing final fitting out prior to delivery.

Named Xianghai Xun 06023, the steel-aluminium vessel was built by Jianglong Shipbuilding. It has an LOA of 32.8 metres, a beam of 6.8 metres, and two main engines that deliver a speed of 16 knots.

The vessel will have a secondary search and rescue (SAR) function.
