New patrol boat delivered to Mississippi wildlife and fisheries agency

Avid Boats of Amory, Mississippi, has delivered the second of two aluminium patrol and rescue craft ordered by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP).

The 23- by eight-foot (seven- by 2.4-metre) boat will be operated primarily on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast.

The trailer-transportable craft has capacity for eight passengers and crew as well as approximately 2,030 pounds (920 kilograms) of assorted cargo. Power is provided by one Yamaha 250hp (186kW) outboard.
