New patrol boat delivered to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina

The Sheriff’s Office of Lincoln County, North Carolina, recently took delivery of a new aluminium-hulled patrol boat from Louisiana-based builder Metal Shark Boats.

The 23-foot (seven-metre) centre console craft was designed to be trailer-transportable and capable of operation even under adverse weather conditions. Power is provided by a single Mercury Verado 350hp (260kW) outboard.

Among the boat’s key features is a dashboard-mounted watertight compartment with a 12V USB power supply for storing and operation of laptop computers and printers.
