New 42m patrol vessel delivered to Jamaica Defence Force
The Damen Shipyards Group, through Damen Song Cam Shipyard in Vietnam, has delivered a new patrol vessel to the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF).
The 42-metre vessel will be operated by the JDF Coast Guard. It is the second in an order for four patrol vessels placed by the JDF with Damen, a number that also includes two 50-metre vessels.
The newbuild recently arrived in Kingston following a trans-Pacific delivery voyage aboard a heavy transport ship.
A second 42-metre vessel from the same series will be handed over to the JDF at a later time.
