Metal Shark delivers police patrol boat to Puerto Rico

Metal Shark Boats has delivered a new welded-aluminium patrol boat to the Policia Municipal de San Juan (San Juan Police Department) on the island of Puerto Rico.

The 10.9-metre newbuild is powered by three Suzuki 223kW outboard engines that deliver a top speed in excess of 50 knots. Other features include a custom dive door and dive ladder, underwater lighting, 12 dive tank holders, radar, and FLIR camera.

The San Juan Police will use the new patrol boat to support a wide range of missions. The department provides port security and law enforcement to the Port of San Juan and the metropolitan San Juan coast, and also supports dive operations throughout the island.
