State-owned Bangladeshi shipbuilder Khulna has delivered three Sonar Bangla-class inshore patrol vessels to the Bangladesh Coast Guard.

The future CGS Sonar Bangla, CGS Aparajeya Bangla, and CGS Apurbo Bangla are based on the Padma-class patrol vessels built by Khulna for the Bangladesh Navy.

Each vessel has a length of 50.4 metres, a beam of 7.5 metres, a draught of 4.1 metres, a speed of 23 knots, and a crew of 45. Armament consists of two Oerlikon 25-millimetre autocannons.

Shortly after the new vessels were delivered, Khulna laid the keels for a new series of two high-speed patrol boats also slated for the coast guard.
