The Indian Army has awarded a contract to Goa Shipyard (GSL) for the construction of 12 fast patrol boats.

The GRP-hulled craft will be capable of surveillance and patrols in large bodies of water, including those situated in high-altitude areas.

GSL is expected to commence deliveries of the initial examples in May 2021.
