Final Samarth-class patrol vessel delivered to Indian Coast Guard

Goa Shipyard (GSL) has handed over the eleventh and final Samarth-class offshore patrol vessel (OPV) ordered by the Indian Coast Guard.

The future ICGS Saksham measures 105 by 13 metres and will be crewed by 18 officers and 108 enlisted personnel. Armament includes a 30-millimetre naval gun and two 12.7-millimetre heavy machine guns.

GSL said the final five Samarth-class OPVs, including the future Saksham, were all delivered to the coast guard on schedule.
