The Dutch National Police Corps has taken delivery of the first of six patrol boats in a series from Damen Shipyards Gorinchem.

The first vessel has been named P41. It has a length of 25 metres, a slipway for launching and recovering rigid hull inflatable boats (RHIBs), night vision cameras, and an exhaust gas after-treatment system.

The second unit in the series is scheduled for delivery in January 2020. All six 25-metre vessels will be operated in inland waterways and are slated to replace older patrol boats in the national police corps’ fleet.
