Construction begins on patrol vessel pair for CMSA Hainan

Jianglong Shipbuilding has begun construction of two coastal patrol vessels in a series for the China Maritime Safety Administration (CMSA).

The 33- by six-metre vessels will each have a steel hull, an aluminium superstructure, and two diesel engines that will deliver a speed of 21.5 knots.

The vessels will be used to patrol the coastal waters of Hainan province.
