US Coast Guard set to commission FRC

The US Coast Guard will commission its newest fast response cutter on July 25.

Nathan Bruckenthal is the 28th FRC to be built at Bollinger Shipyards for the Coast Guard.

FRCs feature advanced command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance equipment that allow their crews to more effectively conduct the coast guard’s statutory missions.

The vessel’s homeport will be Atlantic Beach, North Carolina.
