French shipyard Socarenam has launched the second patrol boat in a series slated for the Belgian Federal Police.

Once completed, SPN 24 will measure 15.98 metres long and 4.98 metres wide and will be capable of operating in both inland and coastal waters. Two Volvo Penta DB-450 engines will propel the boat to a maximum speed of 16 knots.

Design work was provided by French naval architects Pierre Delion.
