US Navy christens attack submarine Montana

The US Navy christened one of its newest attack submarines, the future USS Montana, at Huntington Ingalls Industries’ (HII) Newport News Shipbuilding division facilities on Saturday, September 12.

The Virginia-class submarine will be the second US Navy ship to honour the state of Montana.

The future Montana is scheduled for delivery to the navy in late 2021.
