Keels laid for two Project 636.3 submarines

United Shipbuilding Corporation's (USC) Admiralty Shipyard laid the keels for two new Project 636.3 submarines in a ceremony at its Saint Petersburg facilities on Friday, November 1.

Magadan and Ufa will be the ninth and tenth submarines, respectively, under Project 636.3, otherwise known as the Improved Kilo-class.

Both submarines will be assigned to the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet once delivered.
