Thai/US Navy exercise CARAT kicks off

Exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) kicked off on June 14 between the Royal Thai Navy and the US Navy and Marine Corps.

The 24th iteration of the multi-nation exercise is designed to enhance naval capabilities in the region, “ensuring a free, open, and stable Indo-Pacific maritime security environment”.

The Royal Thai Navy participated in exercises with the USS Mustin, USNS Brunswick and USNS Salvor and the marines conducted jungle warfare training and live-fire drills.
