Song Thu lays keel of 57m LST for Vietnamese Navy

Vietnamese shipbuilder Song Thu has laid the keel for a new landing ship tank (LST) for the People’s Army of Vietnam (PAVN) Navy.

The Damen-designed vessel will have an LOA of 57.27 metres, a beam of 12 metres, and a maximum draught of 2.75 metres once completed.

The vessel will be the first ever newbuild LST to be acquired by the PAVN Navy.
