Russia’s Yantar Baltic Shipbuilding Plant has floated out the future INS Tushil, the seventh Project 11356 or Talwar-class frigate slated for the Indian Navy.

The frigate and sister ship INS Tamala, which will be launched next year, are scheduled to be delivered to India in 2023.

Once completed, the future Tushil will have a length of 124 metres, a beam of 15 metres, and four gas turbines that will deliver a speed of 32 knots. Armament will include anti-ship missiles, land attack missiles, surface-to-air missiles, a 100-millimetre naval gun, close-in weapon systems, and torpedoes.
